Duties Description NYSIF Data Warehouse team is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving Enterprise Datawarehouse, creating and supporting large number of interactive reports, dashboards, KPIs. The team collaborates closely with BI and analytics teams to facilitate data-driven insights by providing a robust and accessible data and works closely with IT and business units to align data infrastructure with organizational goals, developing solutions that meet evolving business needs. The team will play key role in Data Governance, Data Quality Assurance, and Data Modeling Optimization initiatives. The team has approximately 15 staff located in Albany and NYC. As an Information Technology Specialist 4, you will be overseeing Albany team (8 staff).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise and mentor ITS programmers and consultants
• Manage, design, and implement BI/DW solutions including:
o Design, build and maintain multi-dimensional data warehouse/data marts.
o Develop and maintain extraction codes in Oracle PL/SQL and ETL Tools.
o Develop and maintain analytical Reports/Dashboards using Spotfire or similar reporting tool.
• Maintain existing data warehouse and data marts.
• Support business users’ data research needs and inquiries.
• Manage Business Reporting functions.
• Manage and maintain automated deployment scripts and jobs.
• Manage and maintain predictive models written in Python, R.
• Develop and maintain documentation for existing and new systems (users’ requirement, system diagrams, ER diagrams, source-to-target mapping documents)
• Ensure data quality and perform unit testing, data cleansing and validation.
• Assist in troubleshooting production and data discrepancies issues.
• Work Schedule includes production support after hours and weekends.
• Interview and select data warehouse staff (programmers, consultants and data
analysts).

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
