Duties Description The Office of Financial Management, Office of State Operations Financial Group is recruiting to fill a Program Aide position. The incumbent of this position is not only responsible for assisting the Group Director, but will also support the needs of the entire State Operations Finance Group including all bureau managers and Albany-based staff, as well as the Patient Resource field offices located across NYS.

The incumbent performs a unique role in the organization and has a wide array of paraprofessional responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:

-Serving as the single point of contact between the State Operations Finance Group and OITS on systems' access and management which is highly complex since SOFG is the business owner of 10+ systems, and staff require access to many other Agency applications to successfully perform job duties;

-Serving as the Group's liaison for personnel services including the initiation and preparation of Request to Fill (RTF) forms; coordinating personnel transactions; and arranging for and assisting with the conduct of interviews for various positions;

-Coordinating the annual spending plan for SOFG, working with the State Budget group and SOFG Managers; Serving as the only purchasing contact in the Group which requires procuring of materials critical to billing operations including patient financial forms, special paper necessary for printing certain bills, and payment of fees necessary to maintain compliance with State and federal Medicaid and Medicare requirements;

-Managing SOFG staff access to enterprise systems including Microsoft 365, SLMS, and SFS, and troubleshooting issues on behalf of the Group;

-Supporting maintenance of office productivity and workflow efficiency by coordinating with other SOFG Administrative Support Staff.

-Providing occasional back up support to the Chief Fiscal Officer's assistant, as needed;

-Participating in and occasionally taking the lead on special projects, as assigned;

-May be responsible for the supervision of one subordinate staff person.
