Minimum Qualifications 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.
Duties Description Position 1: Begins April 1, 2015 and ends March 31, 2016. The technician would assist in issuing deer damage permits, conducting deer damage permit inspections and responding to information requests regarding deer damage permits. This technician would also serve to answer the wildlife general phone line and assist regional staff. Incumbent will work an 80% schedule.
Positions 2 and 3: Begins April 1, 2015 and ends November 30, 2015. Conduct field surveys on diamond back terrapins to assess closing of harvest season. Incumbent will work a 100% schedule.
Additional Comments Seasonal, hourly appointment. Program needs will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to dates listed in duties description.
Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at interview.
Anticipated hourly rate will be $15.41 pending approval.
