The Business Document Specialist 2 duties in Corporations, State Records, & Uniform Commercial Code will include but are not limited to the following:
• Process work orders by reviewing documents submitted to the Division of Corporations for statutory and departmental policy compliance.
• Determine the availability of proposed names of Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, and Limited Partnerships.
• Enter information into the processing system to create a permanent record of the filing.
• Files certificates in compliance with statute and rejects or returns for corrections the certificates that are not in compliance.
• Work Order Creation duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive or 55-B/C service in a title SG-09 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
