Duties Description The Program Aide duties in Human Resources Management will include but are not limited to the following:
• Canvass eligible lists for centralized lists and complete acceptors list.
• Post Job Vacancy Announcements.
• Correspond with customers and applicants both written and orally.
• Prepare routine correspondence and reports.
• Assist with directory services administration.
• Pull clearance codes bi-weekly and as needed.
• Assist in onboarding, benefits, and administrative support.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive or 55-B/C service in a clerical, keyboarding, secretarial, or paraprofessional title allocated to Grade 6 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.

You must meet the minimum qualifications from the most recent examination announcement. One year of permanent, contingent permanent, or 55 B/C service in an office assistant, clerical, keyboarding, or paraprofessional*** title allocated to Grade 6 or higher.

***Only paraprofessional titles in an office environment will be considered qualifying. Service in a direct care title is NOT qualifying. Examples of NON-qualifying titles are: Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1, Direct Support Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Mental Health Therapy Aide, and Security Services Assistant.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
