Minimum Qualifications Permanent status as an Addictions Program Specialist 2, G-23 and interested in reassignment; OR reachable for permanent appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Addictions Program Specialist 2; OR eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law (i.e., Addictions Planning Analyst 2).

Duties Description The incumbent will be assigned to the Bureau of Prevention and will responsible for providing oversight, communication, technical assistance and coordination of Prevention Services for prevention agencies. Duties include but are not limited to oversight of all prevention services in assigned region; Represent OASAS on committees and projects associated with substance use prevention; Develop and make presentations on OASAS prevention policies and best practices; Disseminate knowledge and provide technical assistance regarding evidenced based practices, PARIS data system, prevention policies and program requirements and workforce development; Work with Bureau and other division staff on priority and/or specialized projects; Provide technical assistance to field office staff and other agency bureaus; Ensure timely submission of all required documentation and reports. May supervise staff and perform other duties as needed.
