Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title. Appropriate titles include:

Associate in Education Research, SG-26
Environmental Specialist 2, SG-23

OR

Eligible for a lateral or a 52.6 transfer by having one year or permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;

OR

Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for Program Research Specialist 3 in Albany.

Note: Candidates who are currently on the eligible list for the Program Research Specialist 3 in Albany need not submit an application for this posting unless they are applying directly as a result of the transfer qualifications listed above.

Duties Description The duties of this position include data production and analysis in support of policy, performance, and trend analysis. Tasks to include: data file development, extraction, manipulation, and analysis of large data extracts using statistical and analysis packages; and developing and executing ad hoc and recurring reports designed to support federal reporting, policy analysis and program evaluation.

Additional Comments You must be a current New York State employee to apply for this position. A full-time, permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
