Duties Description Bronx Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Director Social Work to provide clinical supervision of their Social Work Department. Candidates from within State Service can apply.
As a Director Social Work, you are responsible for developing, administering, and evaluating social work services provided including:
• Working with clinicians to ensure staff are providing the required amount of direct and indirect services to meet the needs of the individuals
• Ensuring compliance with social work standards and mandates set by OMH, The Joint Commission (TJC), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the social work profession
• Conducting case reviews
• Observing treatment
• Overseeing discharge planning
Minimum Qualifications Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Social Work Supervisor 2 (LCSW) eligible list.
OR
Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
The promotion field for the Director Social Work position consists of candidates who have 1 year of permanent service as a Social Work Supervisor 1 (LCSW).
