Duties Description The Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2 will service as a supervisor in the Reporting & Special Projects Unit within the Division of Medicaid Investigations (DMI). The Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2 would be responsible for:
• Supervising staff of up to four Medicaid Integrity Specialist 1’s.
• Ensuring accurate and timely distribution of data driven reports using various internal data systems.
• Drafting of narrative reports for monthly and annual reporting, and other reports as needed.
• Ensuring accurate creation and documentation of DMI cost saving initiatives.
• Liaising with system admin groups to ensure internal case tracking systems have necessary functionalities for all units in DMI testing systems changes.
• Providing training to DMI staff on FACTS cases.
• Providing support for special projects within DMI.
• Ensuring systems data is accurate, and overseeing data control forms as needed.
• Validation of QAS data for DMI activity.
• Coordinating external audits involving DMI.

Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Medicaid Integrity Specialist 2, OR be a current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational and personal skills; knowledge and experience with Oracle, excel and access; strong attention to detail.
