Minimum Qualifications CS List Qualifications: Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list.
Transfer Qualifications: Transfer eligible candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to: Associate Workers' Compensation Examiner, Agency Training & Development Specialist 2, Associate Administrative Analyst, Associate Internal Auditor, Associate Personnel Administrator, Senior Attorney, and Supervising Budgeting Analyst.
Duties Description The Principal Workers' Compensation Examiner would oversee the payment and receipt functions of the Special Funds group within Financial Administration. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Supervising the payment and receipt functions of the Special Funds group; monitoring/reporting on the status of unprocessed payments and receipts; managing staffing levels to meet statutory deadlines and work with available cash flows; overseeing communications with payment certifying entities(Special Funds Conservation Committee, other WCB units, contracted Administrators) to resolve issues and questions; coordinating with technical support to report and resolve application issues; establishing and maintaining procedures to ensure that all payments are calculated/processed and receipts are deposited/processed consistently; analyzing the nature and source of incoming and rejected items; implementing solutions to improve productivity and participating or leading projects related to the payment and receipt functions of the Special Fund group.
