Minimum Qualifications Individuals who have one year of permanent service as an Senior Personnel Administrator OR who are eligible to transfer via Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title within two salary grades or one M grade of this position are eligible to apply. Duties Description The Office of Mental Health is recruiting to fill a Senior Personnel Administrator, Grade 18, vacancy in the Center for Human Resources Management, Bureau of Facility Personnel Services, Central Recruitment Unit. The Central Recruitment Unit performs technical functions that support recruitment and staffing of both facility and Central Office program titles. The incumbent will coordinate all aspects of OMH’s administration of the centralized list unit including the canvassing and coding of lists, developing lists of acceptors and sending them to programs and facilities, ensuring that list appointments are handled appropriately from mandatory, decentralized and general eligible lists, and receiving appointment information from programs and facilities, and return coded lists to the Department of Civil Service. They will act as a liaison between the Department of Civil Service and OMH facility Personnel Office staff to resolve complex eligible list issues. The incumbent will design and maintain efficient and effective work processes for the unit and will assist in reviewing and revising policies and procedures, and preparing work plans for the unit.

Additional Comments This position may require some statewide travel.
