Minimum Qualifications
This is a transfer opportunity for a current State employee with permanent service as a Real Estate Specialist 1.
OR
70.1 Transfer:
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Land & Claims Adjuster 2 or Senior Building Space Analyst.
Duties Description
The incumbent will be responsible for preparing Real Property Appraisal Reports to determine fair market value on lands and/or structures placed on lands underwater, preparing valuations for utility easements crossing underwater lands, researching public records to determine ownership of real estate, taxes and special assessment zoning, environmental and historical issues and any other regulatory issues that may affect the use of particular parcels, as well as, researching public land records for title background, easements and encumbrances of particular parcels, preparing draft permits and licenses for the Marina’s use of State-owned lands, coordinating real estate issues with other Office of General Services units and other New York State Agencies and reviewing extraction reports from salt mining operations on State lands.
