Duties Description Act as the Personnel Program, Technology, and Training Liaison by serving as the office manager for Personnel. This includes submitting ITS, onboarding/offboarding, and maintenance tickets and tracking staff progress on mandatory trainings and sending out notices to appropriate staff

Handle Procurement and monitoring of office inventory and supplies

Maintain scheduling and event calendars

Manage records archiving process

Administer Personal History Folder (PHF) review requests

Process Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests

Assist with the processing of all DOL onboarding paperwork

Assist support staff in monitoring various Personnel email mailboxes

Serve as back up for other support staff

File paperwork into Personal History Folders (PHF)

May supervise other clerical staff and review work performed by others

Perform other duties assigned

Manage Account Deprovisioning

Assist and coordinate Shield and Credential ordering with Business Administration/Security

Assist with Language Access information/requests

Assist with reviewing various reports, identifying required/requested information.

Provide customer assistance both in person and on the phone and direct to proper staff or department

Oversee the preparation of letters for signature and distribution

Oversee incoming mail and proper distribution

Minimum Qualifications Competitive Minimum Qualifications:

If Civil Service Eligible list(s) exist, they will be canvassed. You may also apply if you are eligible for appointment by one of the following qualifications:

Subsequent 55 B/C Qualifications:
A subsequent 55b/c appointment may be considered if you have one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a Grade 13 or higher title determined to be similar by Civil Service and have a current Civil Service 55b/c approval letter.

Reassignment Qualifications: (DOL EMPLOYEES ONLY)
Current Department of Labor employees only, with at least one (1) year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service in an Administrative Assistant 2; if you have less than one (1) year, you must be reachable on the current Administrative Assistant 2 eligible list for this location, if one exists.

52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion (NCP) Qualifications: (DOL EMPLOYEES ONLY)
To be eligible for NCP, candidates must be in the Department of Labor promotion field and have one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as an Administrative Assistant 1. If 3 or fewer qualified Department of Labor Administrative Assistant 1 respond to this posting, Civil Service may approve the permanent appointment of one of the qualified Administrative Assistant 1 without further examination.

70.1 Transfer Qualifications:
One year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Grade 13 or higher determined to be similar by Civil Service.

Provisional Qualifications: (DOL EMPLOYEES ONLY)
You must be a qualified Department of Labor employee and have one (1) year of permanent competitive, contingent-permanent, or 55-b/55-c service as an Administrative Assistant 1, Administrative Assistant 1 (French Language), Administrative Assistant 1 (Russian Language), Administrative Assistant 1 (Spanish Language), Administrative Assistant Trainee 1, Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 (French Language), Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 (Russian Language), Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 (Spanish Language), Administrative Assistant Trainee 2, Administrative Assistant Trainee 2 (French Language), Administrative Assistant Trainee 2 (Russian Language), Administrative Assistant Trainee 2 (Spanish Language), Examination Composition Assistant, Law Department Document Specialist, Office Assistant 2-Keyboarding, Office Assistant 2-Keyboarding (Spanish Language), Secretary 1, or Secretary 1 (Spanish Language).. Only the titles listed are qualifying. The appointed candidate would have to take, pass and be reachable on the next holding of the examination to be appointed permanently.
