Duties Description • Fleet management and maintenance- Coordination of daily responsibilities for fleet management including scheduling and fulfilling maintenance appointments; daily visual and basic mechanical inspections and maintenance of fleet vehicles based in Albany; act as backup for review of travel requests and arranging vehicle reservations for same; and coordinating weekly schedule of vehicle deployment.
• Agency Landlord liaising- Act as the primary liaison between OMIG and the landlord in OMIG’s main office in Albany including receiving, reviewing, verifying, and communicating building-related issues to the landlord and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner. Conducting daily on-site walkthroughs of the space to ensure OMIG office facilities and equipment are in proper working order.
• Mail & Courier services – Oversee all aspects of mail and courier services or requests, including special deliveries as needed. Supervise staff managing day to day mail services. Ensure internal mail procedures are followed and appropriate records maintained.
• Labor Services – Receive and coordinate labor related requests for the Albany office, including moving furniture and other OMIG assets within OMIG space, configuration of conference space, and other labor related tasks as needed. Assist with labor services, as necessary.
• OMIG Logistics- Coordinate delivery of furniture and other assets to/from OMIG regional offices as needed. Arrange for pickup and delivery of OMIG paper files between OMIG offices and NYS Records Center.
• Operations Helpdesk - Perform technician functions within the Operations Help Desk Plus system and respond to email inquiries as needed.
• Receiving – Perform receiving for OMIG Albany office, ensuring proper protocols are followed. Maintain and update product receiving procedures accordingly.
• Supervision- Oversight of staff in the Albany office responsible for carrying out the day today responsibilities of the BOM and, as necessary, acting as backup for completion of same duties.
Minimum Qualifications To be considered for appointment through NY HELPS, candidates must meet the open-competitive minimum qualifications for this position.
Appointment to the Trainee 1 level requires:
• Four years of experience* in the promotion of Medicaid program integrity and appropriate delivery and utilization of Medicaid programs and services; OR
• Associate’s degree* AND two years of experience; OR
• Bachelor’s degree*
* Medicaid programs and services include: educating, assisting, and monitoring compliance with program regulations and obligations; developing, clarifying, and ensuring implementation of program requirements; collecting and analyzing data; evaluating and assessing appropriateness of provider or recipient participation in the Medicaid program or the appropriateness of billing or utilization of service; or developing referrals for further action or recommendations for corrective action.
** Advanced placement to the Trainee 2 or Grade 18 level may be possible depending on education and experience. Competitive Minimum Qualifications:
Current New York State Employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service, or 55 b/c service as a Medicaid Integrity Specialist 1; OR current New York State Employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent service or 55 b/c service in a qualifying title and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1, 70.4, or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong analytical skills; and the ability to work with others to resolve conflicts.
