Duties Description The incumbent of this position functions as the Executive Assistant to Executive Deputy Commissioner.
The incumbent of this position performs the following duties:
•Collaborate with the Assistant to the Commissioner and Assistant to the Chief of Staff daily to ensure deadlines are reached.
•Manage the calendar of the Exec Deputy Commissioner.
•Coordinate events, meetings, and calls with the Executive Chamber and relevant state and federal entities, agencies, and authorities, as well as peer agencies in other states and the public.
•Assist with overflow of administrative support responsibilities of Chief of Staff, Commissioner and other Deputies.
•Edit and summarize documents for the Exec Deputy.
•Review documents submitted by agency staff and highlights areas for review by the Exec Deputy Commissioner or other executive staff.
•Act as liaison with the agency’s Executive and management staff and with other agencies as appropriate.
•Communicate with the Executive Chamber staff on a daily basis.
•Research and assemble information required for the Exec Deputy Commissioner to make decisions or to reply to correspondence in coordination with Executive staff.
•Draft and issue correspondence for the Exec Deputy Commissioner’s signature or other Executive staff.
•Coordinate attendance at meetings and events.
Minimum Qualifications A Bachelors and four years of relevant experience or an Associates and six year of relevant experience or eight years of relevant experience.
Additional Comments Overtime may be required.
Telecommuting may be available, will be discussed at interview.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
