Salary RangeFrom $106898 to $131665 Annually
Duties Description Under the direction of the Manager Information Services, within the Dedicated Support team for the State Liquor Authority (SLA), the Project Director’s specific duties shall include but are not limited to:
•Recommend prioritized business process improvements to ensure system functionality and operational efficiency across the agency.
•Translate business objectives into actionable recommendations.
•Identify gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement in application workflows
•Lead and facilitate discussions with business lead to align business capabilities with current and future organizational objectives.
•Conduct full lifecycle analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets using statistical techniques.
•Verify accuracy, perform quality checks, identify and correct errors, and resolve discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
•Assist staff with data-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and help with system configurations.
•Translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
•Developed and maintained data systems and databases, including fixing coding errors and monitoring performance.
•Optimizing database performance, resolving bottlenecks, and tuning systems.
•Creating Stored Procedures to perform automated rules, updating them to related tables using Oracle, SQL server.
•Providing technical guidance and promoting best practices.
•As a supervisor, daily team activities involve assigning tasks, reviewing and tracking progress, discussing blockers with business analysts and project managers, and reviewing backtracks
•Mentoring junior developers on best practices and modern technologies.
•Communicating complex plans to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Overseeing implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
•Conducting code reviews, performance analysis, and risk assessment.
•Hands-on experience in developing SSRS Reports and Crystal Reports
Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field, including one year of supervisory experience.
The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
• Associate’s degree and six years of experience.
• Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and five years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and four years of experience.
• Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience.
• Doctorate in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional 2 years of experience.
Additional Comments ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis. If eligible, positions located in New York City will receive an additional $3,400 downstate adjustment location pay with regular annual salary. Positions located in the Mid-Hudson will receive an additional $1,650 adjustment location pay.
