Duties Description Under the direction of the MAS 1, the incumbent will fulfill requests for authorized Claim Detail Reports (CDR).
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
Sort and open mail. If appropriate, distribute among coworkers for processing.
Assess requests for processing. File processable requests for further action. Mark unprocessed requests for returns, including comments to clarify reasons for rejection.
Log requests into tracking database. Mark requests for future processing. Maintain accurate counts in Excel count sheet of incoming and outgoing requests.
Look up Medicaid ID numbers, both CINs and archival RIDs, in eMedNY and legacy WMS databases, recording ID numbers for future processing.
Generate Claim Detail Reports from the Medicaid Data Warehouse.
Assemble response packets. Address, fill and mail out envelopes. Archive completed requests. Mark request complete on tracking database.
Incumbent shall be responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies.
Minimum Qualifications NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as a Program Aide, G-13 or a current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title allocated to G-11 or higher, and eligible for transfer to Program Aide under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with DOH systems such as eMedNY, MDW and WMS. Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, ability to work independently and in teams to completion, use of MS office suite, and critical thinking skills. Familiarity with HIPAA and privacy regulations and with fundamentals of data security. Familiarity with administrative tasks, including ordering and maintaining office supplies and working with common office equipment.
