Duties Description • Assist with overseeing the daily administration, supervision and management of multiple Central Printing locations; Harriman State Campus Bldg. 18, and ESP Copy Center P1.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties for a team of operational staff.
• Formulate deadlines, schedule staff as necessary.
• Ensure all print requests are completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
• Train staff to safely use all operating equipment including production copiers, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Oversee maintenance of all equipment.
• Perform a variety of record keeping services including but not limited to; electronically filing daily work, data entry of copier meter logs, tracking inventory and supplies, etc.
• Efficiently and accurately utilize Print Operations Management Software (POMS).
• Manage several e-mail boxes: including the central printing shared mailbox.
• Interact with customers and colleagues in a courteous manner.
• Maintain contact with outside print vendors with professionalism and tact.
• Perform other duties as requested.
Operational Needs:
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Class D Driver’s License issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Ability to bend, lift, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 10 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.
