Duties Description Duties include but are not limited to:
• Direct the technical and maintenance activities of the OGS print shop containing multiple
employees.
• Supervise subordinate operators and support staff in multiple locations.
• Provide cost estimates for specific jobs.
• Maintain records of work performed.
• Provide print shop supply production and fiscal records for agency budget staff.
• Direct and detail the layout of copy, procedures, and technical processes.
• Oversee all Printing & Bulk Mail Operations
• Operate Mail Insertion machines as well as Presorting equipment.
• Operate Digital Production Printing equipment
• Operate auxiliary equipment, pallet jacks, and forklifts
• Oversee appropriate training and development needs of subordinate staff.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Program Director and Assistant Director.
Operational Needs:
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Class D Driver’s License issued by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Ability to bend, lift, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications Six years of printing equipment operating experience. Two years of experience must have been at a supervisory level.
NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.
