Duties Description Candidate may be required to assist with a variety of tasks of the buildings and grounds maintenance trades including; janitorial, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, sawyer, mowing, landscaping, equipment operation and snow removal. Assist in the maintenance of diverse types of trails, parking access areas for hunting, fishing and recreational activities, department assets and infrastructure. May be required to perform cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, recycling and rubbish removal. Candidate may not be assigned to the same job location each day and should expect to be assigned anywhere in the working circle during the work day. Work duties may include working outdoors in adverse weather conditions; candidate must be able to perform duties in such conditions.
Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this position. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience assisting with Janitorial and Grounds Maintenance duties.
Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 11/30/2026, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Travel may be required.
Overtime may be required.
Overnight travel may be required.
Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response.
Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
