Duties Description This position will report directly to the Assistant Medicaid Inspector General for Division of System Utilization & Review. This position will oversee two grade 27's with the Recovery Audit Contract (RAC) and Third-Party Liability (TPL).

The Key Responsibilities for this Position Include the Following:
-Provide direct supervision and mentoring to bureau managers, supervisors, and staff
-Oversee both the TPL & RAC contracts
-Confer with the AMIG, and/or other team managers to define Bureau priorities, projects, initiatives, and long-term goals and objectives.
-Develop policies and protocols for bureau business operations
-Targeting for future RAC & TPL projects
-Work with the RAC & TPL managers to plan, schedule, monitor workload, and track status of all work assigned and completed within both units
-Record and track quality metrics concerning recoveries, as well as the performance of the RAC and TPl contractors
-Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly reporting for the bureau
-Assist with special assignments
-Train staff with both data and the audit process
-Assist with writing the RFP for both RAC & TPL
-Provide education and guidance to contract staff
-Attend monthly and yearly meetings with contract staff

Minimum Qualifications Required Skillset & Experience:
-Contract Oversight Experience and familiarity with Requests for Proposals (RFP)
-Extensive Management Experience is preferred
-Extensive experience with the NYS Medicaid program is strongly preferred
-Experience with pulling data from the Medicaid Data Warehouse


To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Medicaid Integrity Specialist 4 (Albany) or be a current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
