Minimum Qualifications A current New York State employee with one year of permanent competitive service in a clerical, secretarial or office aide title allocated to Grade 11 or higher and meet transfer eligibility requirements.

Duties Description The incumbent would be responsible for:
• Providing administrative support to the Director of Legislative Affairs/Public Information Officer and also to the Special Counsel when needed;
• Assisting in the review and preparing of responses to the agency’s FOIL requests;
• Assisting in responding to written or telephone legislative inquiries; assisting in responding to the Governor’s Correspondence Office;
• Preparing tables, charts, and reports as needed; prepare and edit draft correspondence and other documents;
• Assist with the creation of the agency’s annual report and other agency publications; maintain the agency’s Notice of Appearances;
• Assist Sr. Administrative Assistant with new employee on-boarding and other HR related matters;
• Maintain and track the Albany office supply inventory;
• Provide backup coverage to the Sr. Administrative Assistant and Secretary 2 as needed.
