Duties Description Heckscher State Park is looking for a full-time, seasonal cottage cleaner to assist the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) in maintaining 15 rental cottages throughout our operating season from April to October at Heckscher State Park. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• All aspects of cleaning public rental spaces.
o Dusting, vacuuming, glass cleaning, and mopping.
o Bathroom cleaning and disinfecting.
• Inventorizing and restocking cottage supplies.
• Inspecting both the interior and exterior of cottages for maintenance issues.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Applicants should have ability to work independently in highly public settings
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time outside and lift up to 50 lbs.
