Duties Description *Applicants MUST submit a cover letter with resume to be considered.

BASIC FUNCTION:
Work with ESD’s staff on the newly created corporate subsidiary – the New York Energy Finance Development Corporation – established to fund a long-term clean energy purchase agreement with the New York State Power Authority.
Track the purchase of energy from NYEFDC to NYPA, research similar transactions in the municipal marketplace, track payments on the commodity swap transaction and an analysis of the cashflows.

WORK PERFORMED:
o Update a database of energy prepayment transactions executed across the country, including credit ratings, source of payment and discounted price.
o Develop a dashboard report with key metrics related to ESD’s management of the outstanding debt of the transaction, the cash flows related to the commodity swap and the investment of various proceeds.
o Track the energy savings to customers.

Minimum Qualifications Education level required: Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree. Demonstrated interest in finance, business, economics, or a related field.

Knowledge Required: Microsoft Office Suite, excellent written and oral communication skills.
