Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list.
Transfer Quals: Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Under the general guidance of the Director of the Office of Risk Management, the Associate Internal Auditor will be responsible for training, guiding, monitoring and encouraging the business units to be responsible for controlling their respective business unit risks. Duties include, but are not limited to; Coordinating internal control activities with division/bureau liaisons; reviewing and assessing division/bureau functions; identifying areas of risk that require testing; assisting division/bureaus in developing a system of monitoring and corrective action; promoting the importance of internal controls within each area of the Board through various communication meetings and training sessions; collaborating with the Board’s Office of Internal Audit in terms of implementing new controls; maintaining the Board’s intranet link, relevant to internal controls; representing the Board in various internal and external meetings and performing special assignments as needed.
