Duties Description Facility Operations Assistants perform a variety of routine, unskilled and semi-skilled manual tasks related to the inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems at university properties.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
This position may be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at the time of appointment.

Operating Needs:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and boom lifts.
Must be able to walk and climb stairs throughout shift.
Must have the ability to navigate MS Office Suite and Apple products.
Ability to work alone as well as in a team environment.
