Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2, G-18 OR in a position at the G-16 level or above deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Information Technology Specialist 3 (G-23), the Information Technology Specialist 2, will work in the Project Management Office. The incumbent will work with other Information Technology Specialists to collect and document agency requirements and assist in the design of new systems. The Information Technology Specialist 2 will also participate in testing, deliverable acceptance and development of support and training documentation.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Work with the vendors, agency staff and stakeholders to collect and document business and functional requirements
• Prepare documents such as the requirements, workflow, use case documents, testing and training plans for review by PMO, and other IT Stakeholders
• Prepare clear and concise documents using proper grammar, punctuation, formality and level of detail required
• Schedule and participate in requirement elicitation meetings with the vendor, agency staff and stakeholders
• Draft communications to internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in updating and maintaining all Business Analysis Templates, and other BA documents
• Assist in developing and maintaining requirement traceability documents
• Provide on-going business support to assigned Bureaus
• Create process flows and process models for the as-is and to-be business processes or functions, as needed
• Cultivate relationships with Bureau staff outside of IT
• Perform liaison duties between IT technical staff and Agency Business users
• Assist with the development of any RFP, RFI or SOW documentation
• Document any business process improvement solutions
• Participate as a member of a project team for major initiatives being implemented at the OAG

Additional Comments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience collecting and documenting business requirements
• Experience conducting and/or leading end user software testing
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently but also thrive in a team environment
• Experience with Requirements Traceable and Test Plan development
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or higher, including Visio and PowerPoint
