Duties Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.

The Information Technology Specialist 4, SG-25 will report to a higher-level manager within the Chief Information Office's, Integrated Operations Center.

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

- Develop, implement, and maintain the Configuration Management Plan (CMP), policies, and procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and related technical documentation.
- Define the CI scope, attributes, and relationships necessary for service delivery, acting as a key role in the Asset and Configuration Management framework.
- Ensure all CIs are updated, verified, and authorized via change management, and perform regular audits for accuracy.
- Leverage tools (e.g., Ansible, SCCM, Zenoss, Dynatrace, Armis) for automated discovery and reports on metrics, compliance, and service improvement opportunities.
- Track dependencies between CIs to help assess the impact of changes and troubleshoot incidents.
- Define and implement all role-based access controls for the maintenance of Location, Group, and User data within the ITSM system
- Perform all necessary hiring and supervisory activities to build and stabilize the Configuration and Data Management team

Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive services as an Information Technology Specialist 4 OR in a position at G-23 or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.
