Duties Description The BSC HR Time & Attendance (T&A) Service Line is requesting to fill this position to build the T&A unit's infrastructure to support future waves. The incumbent will supervise the day-to-day activities of the T&A service line or sub-service line functions. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Taking the lead in providing the best possible customer service while keeping the BSC’s and State of New York’s needs in perspective.
• Communicating and interacting with key stakeholders and T&A customers to understand their needs, propose appropriate solutions and guide them through a resolution.
• Addressing systematic issues raised by customers and stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
• Coordinating and participating in the preparation of work plans for streamlining T&A shared services, including identifying key deliverables and critical dates.
• Instilling a performance based culture by performing a daily review of T&A performance metrics and management reports. Use that information to manage daily assignments and work with the T&A team to make improvements.
• Identifying performance issues and develop and implement solutions to correct them.
• Coaching and directing T&A staff in the performance of their duties, leading daily huddles and soliciting feedback from the team.
• Developing and implementing time & attendance training plans and programs for employees and customers.
• Incorporating LEAN principles into the T&A team's daily work with a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Understanding of time & attendance rules and the Leave & Accrual Tracking System (LATS).
