Duties Description The Video Editor will be responsible for executing video content for marketing campaigns, training videos, social media, documentaries, etc. You’ll help brainstorm and create material for government agencies across NYS. This position is a great way to show off how creative you can be with post-production techniques. This is a highly creative and technical position.
As the Video Editor, you’ll manage video workload, as assigned by the producer or creative directors. You will edit projects; you will mix audio. You will pick the best soundbites and create content that has an impact.
Looking for someone with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment supervising numerous projects in various states of being finished. You should be comfortable editing scripted and documentary style, working with interviews and crafting storylines. You should be stylistically savvy and be able to work within various creative approaches
Seeking someone with proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud systems including Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Person must have the ability to adapt to new workflows. Also, the ability to prioritize and respond accordingly. The ability to handle feedback and work towards a common goal.
A high attention to detail and an obsession with organization will go far.

Minimum Qualifications NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.
Six years of experience* in one or more of the following assignment areas with a national network, local network television affiliate, cable news, commercial media production facility, marketing communications agency or related operation. College study in a related field may be substituted for up to four years of experience with 30 credit hours equaling one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
•5+ years of direct experience as a video editor
•Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how to use each strategically
•Strong interpersonal skills
•Attention to detail and quality
•Bachelor’s degree in production, communications, digital media, marketing, or a related discipline required
•Experience in editing required
