Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2, G-18 OR in a position at the G-16 level or above deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law OR in a title approved for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two grades.

Duties Description The Public Safety Cluster (PSC) Change Management Office within Service Management is responsible for controlling the lifecycle of all the changes within the cluster and minimizing disruption to IT services. The Change Management Office is responsible for ensuring an efficient change management process within the PSC, utilizing technology wherever appropriate. The Change Management Office is responsible for enforcing process and standards; improving process; reviewing change plans; assuring there is a change record; chairs the PSC Change Advisory Board (CAB); represents the PSC at Enterprise CAB; coordinates changes from the Enterprise within the cluster; and produces management reports.
As the cluster change control facilitator for the PSC Change Management Office, the incumbent will be responsible for coordination of notifications to customers affected by PSC and/or Enterprise changes. The main duties are listed below:
• Reviews change plan and working with requestor and Business Solutions staff, determines affected applications, operations and customers;
• Participates in technical coordination meetings to understand the change and impact to customers;
• Coordinates customer notification activities through completion;
• Participates in the PSC CAB;
• Supports the Change Manager in change management operations.
