One year of permanent competitive service as a Contract Management Specialist 2 or eligible for a 70.1 or 52.6 transfer.
Duties Description
This position will be responsible for managing and administering a portfolio of New York State AmeriCorps grants in accordance with State procurement laws, Federal regulations, and Commission policies and procedures. Responsibilities incude but are not limited to:
• Providing training and technical assistance to grantees on Federal and State Regulations, Statutes and Provisions.
• Completing desk audits and site program compliance reviews of grantees to confirm adherence to program guidelines.
• Developing new policies, procedures, and review instruments to more effectively monitor grantee agencies for compliance.
• Analyzing and approving grantee expenditure and progress reports for compliance and accuracy.
• Preparing Federal reports on grantee progress and outcomes.
• Interacting with the Federal granting agency to discuss fiscal and programmatic grant management issues and corrective action plans.
• Supporting the development and implementation of the New York State National Service Request for Proposals process to award federal funding to successful applicant agencies.
Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
Additional Comments Experience with AmeriCorps, other national service programs, or volunteer programs preferred.
Travel approximately 10%.
