Salary RangeFrom $39713 to $50814 Annually
Minimum Qualifications In order to be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
If a viable eligible list does not exist, a provisional appointment may be made. If you are appointed provisionally, you must take and pass the next Civil Service examination for this title. Employees appointed provisionally must be reachable on the resulting eligible list or their employment in the position will end.
At the interview, candidates must be prepared to demonstrate how their backgrounds meet the duties for this position.
Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Prepares CADD drawings for highway and bridge projects.
• Prepares presentation plans for public meetings and reports.
• Performs calculations and prepares tables for highway and bridge projects.
• Assists with the development of the engineer’s estimate.
• Assists in the gathering and compilation of site data for highway and bridge projects.
• Reviews plans prepared by the Design Section for compliance with CADD standards.
• Assists staff within the section with CADD related issues.
• Other assignments to address office needs.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the Department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Additional Comments Employee requests for alternate work hours FROM/TO times will be considered. Employee requests for alternate work schedule (e.g., compressed work week) are only considered after successful completion of a 52 week probation period and designation as a permanent employee.
