Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Office Assistant 2, G-9; OR in a title that is eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, such as Office Assistant 2 (Calculations), G-9; Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding), G-9; or Payroll Assistant, G-9. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description Under the general supervision of the Head Clerk Personnel, this position will work within the Human Resource Services, Transaction Unit. The position will be responsible for filing, organizing and maintaining employee Personal History Folders among other files within the office. The incumbent will be responsible following records retention guidelines and purging old files as necessary. Additionally, the incumbent will provide clerical support for the Transaction Unit and assist with new employee orientations.
Additional Comments Some positions may require fingerprinting. The filling of this position is pending DOB approval.
