Minimum Qualifications Open-Competitive or Promotion: Current license to practice Psychology issued by the New York State Department of Education.
AND
One year of permanent competitive or 55 (b) (c) service as an Associate Psychologist or Psychologist 2.

Duties Description • Support the functions and processes directly related to making eligibility determinations with the potential for OPWDD supports and services for the high volume of individuals and families who come to the Regional office seeking services.
• Coordinate the Eligibility Process.
• Chair the Eligibility Committee.
• Respond to requests for and attend fair hearings.
• Liaison with schools and voluntary provider network.
• Provide training in the Eligibility Process.
• Meet with families as part of the Appeal Process.
• Prepare justification reports to the court and appear as a representative of OPWDD regarding individuals “not eligible” determination for OPWDD services.
• Display a high level of professional judgment on complex issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
