Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or higher level degree, in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, graphic design/arts OR a Bachelor’s or higher level related degree with fifteen credit hours in computer science and graphic design/arts OR at least four years of experience in: web design and development, content management.

Duties Description The New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking applications for the position of Project Coordinator. ITS is the service unit responsible for fulfilling the information processing needs of offices throughout NYSED. The incumbent of this position will work as a member of the application development team to implement creative and technical web design specifications for the EngageNY project. EngageNY is NYSED's flagship curriculum and professional development resource site for New York educators, with tools for communication and collaboration. Duties of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Serve as lead Drupal web designer/developer and provide recommendations on the implementation of new and emerging trends and site design;
• Provide recommendations of specialized programming, authoring and formatting tools and facilitate the use and adoption of these tools in order to support the EngageNY project;
• Prioritize tasks to ensure delivery on project deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
• Analyze and develop creative solutions to solve new complex design problems;
• Maintain site appearance by developing and enforcing Drupal content and display standards and protect the site by designing and installing security precautions;
• Communicate effectively with all levels of team, including developers, project managers, clients, and executive level staff; and
• Exhibit strong working knowledge of PHP, Drupal, responsive CSS frameworks and design methodologies, cloud-based architecture and deployment structures and display proficiency with software development project estimation/agreed tolerances and agile software development.

Additional Comments CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This will be a temporary appointment. This position may require periodic off-shift and weekend hours.

*Leads to a maximum salary of $94,834 based on annual performance advances.
