Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be employed by New York State to be eligible to apply for this position.
Candidates must have one year permanent service as a Standards Compliance Analyst 3 (MH), G-27 and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Questions concerning transfer eligibility can be directed to omhhrm@omh.ny.gov.
Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is currently recruiting to fill a Standards Compliance Analyst 3 (MH), Grade 27 vacancy in the New York City Field Office. The incumbent will be assigned to the Licensing/Certification Unit within the Field Office. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage and direct a multidisciplinary team to perform a variety of activities related to certification and licensing reviews for implementation and oversight of the regulations and licensing of New York’s public mental health system.
• Oversee on-site inspections of licensed mental health programs including inpatient, outpatient and community residential facilities to determine compliance with OMH regulations.
• Advocate for development of effective and efficient service delivery systems.
• Formulate and recommend policies, procedures standards and regulations to the Field Office Director and OMH Executive Level staff regarding case management, standards compliance and local implementation of various initiatives.
• Communicate, directly or through staff, OMH policy and initiatives to local government, clinical providers, hospitals and provider coalitions related to standards compliance activities in the New York City region.
• Represent OMH at meetings and task forces with external agencies, mental health advocacy groups and trade organizations.
