Salary RangeFrom $87891 to $107946 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Reachable for appointment on current Civil Service list for this title; or, one year of permanent competitive class service as an Associate Attorney; or, one year of permanent competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Review, develop or edit contracts, RFPs, proposals, and other agency agreements including but not limited to the following: worker's compensation, insurance claims, financial, investment, real estate and information technology agreements.
Ensure appropriateness and legal sufficiency of aforementioned documents.
Advise contract administration and program staff on legal issues related to the NYS procurement and contracting in accordance with Workers' Compensation Law and State Finance Law, as well as directives from and oversight by the Governor's Office, the Office of the State Comptroller, and the Office of the Attorney General.
Identify the legal implications of contracting policies and procedures established by or used by NYSIF, such as the hearing of bid protests and debriefing requests.
Additional Comments Preferred candidate should possess experience negotiating and drafting complex contracts and knowledge of or ability to learn legal provision for NYS contracts. Candidate should also have demonstrated ability to research and present complex legal and factual information in plain language by written and verbal communication.
