Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), SG-06 classified position or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service canvass list for an Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), SG-06 position.

New York State Preferred Lists candidates have preference.

Duties Description This position will help our Appointment Manager with data entry into our various New York State systems for appointment and recruitment purposes. We’re looking for someone with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, who can help with clerical support, gathering information, data entry and clean-up, and drafting letters.

Ultimately, we are looking for someone with a team player mentality who will help us welcome visitors, and answer questions about problems and concerns our employees have. You will help us provide information, pamphlets, forms and assistance, as related to routine benefits inquiries, job applicants, employment verification, and other questions applicable to Human Resources & Payroll Services policies and procedures. If helping others and providing useful information and tools to the SUNY Geneseo workforce and community is something that interests you, we welcome your application!

Additional Comments WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:15 pm*. *Rotates 8:45 am to 5:00 pm shift twice per month with office staff.
