Duties Description The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Medical Director’s Office nursing staff in the processing of HP-1 arbitration requests that have been scheduled for dispute resolution by an arbitrator/arbitrators.
Duties include but are not limited to: requesting files scheduled for arbitration for review by downstate nursing staff; maintaining a log of received files; checking files for completeness upon receipt; reserving hearing rooms for arbitration hearings statewide; arranging videoconferencing and other IT services for arbitration hearings statewide; creating HP-2.1R arbitration award notices upon resolution of disputes; processing and returning completed files to Menands MDO site for storage; answering VCC phone calls regarding the arbitration process and the Board’s Medical and other Fee Schedules.
