Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer, a 52.6 transfer or a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;

Candidates who are currently on the eligible list for the Associate Budgeting Analyst in Albany need not submit an application for this posting unless they are applying directly as a result of the transfer qualifications listed above.
Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing Reviews for Proposals (RFPs) and contracts, coding invoices, processing interagency payments, processing personnel transactions, developing budget journals, tracking expenditures and formulating cash plans. The incumbent will assist in developing OTDA's State Budget Request, reviewing legislative proposals and implementing the enacted State Budget. The incumbent may also be given supervisory duties in the near future.
Tasks include review and analysis of Federal and State legislation, rules and regulations and appropriation language, including the preparation of fiscal analyses related to assigned programs. This person will act as a liaison to the New York State Division of the Budget and counterparts throughout OTDA for assigned programs. The incumbent will perform other duties, as assigned.
