Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Office Assistant 3 HR will be responsible for:

• Maintenance of the database to include all discipline, contract/non-contract grievances, improper practice, Section 72, and out-of-title work grievance cases;
• Will assist the Director of Employee Relations in producing reports to analyze appropriate deployment of resources;
• Assist with scheduling Labor Management meetings and minutes
• Schedule Section 72 and Section 75 hearings;
• Coordinate the Workplace Violence Prevention Program;
• Administer contractual benefits such as clothing allowance, tool allowance, Special Assignment to Duty Pay;
• Coordinate receipt of hardship requests, alternative schedule requests, and personal property damage claims;
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
