Minimum Qualifications Reachable on Civil Service Eligible List OR
One year permanent competitive service as an Associate Budgeting Analyst
OR
Eligible for 52.6 and 70.1 transfer.
Duties Description Prepare and supervise the preparation of agency budget estimates, program justifications and workload forecasts.
Monitor agency expenditures.
Supervise Senior Budgeting Analysts and a supporting clerical staff.
May supervise activities for a major segment of an agency's program or the administration of federal grants.
Prepare programs budgets.
Evaluate programs and costs in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
Forecast future workload and cash expenditures.
Evaluate the necessary resources to implement new programs and services.
Additional duties shall include, but might not be limited the following: oversight and development of various State operations spending plans and preparing any/all applicable and related transactions in the Statewide Financial System and associated human resources systems. In addition, responsibilities will also include a variety of tasks and assignments related to the preparation and execution of the annual budget.
Additional Comments Strong Excel and analytical, written and verbal skills preferable.
