Duties Description The Office Assistant 2 assists the unit supervisor to coordinate unit exam scoring and results processing activities and may supervise the work of Office Assistant 1s assigned to the unit.

In addition, the Office Assistant 2 performs the following job duties:
• Processes incoming test material from State and local test centers
• Checks examination material received to ensure that it is correct and complete
• Identifies, evaluates, records, and resolves discrepancies in documents
• Produces and reviews scoring error reports
• Runs and resolves discrepancy reports from various systems
• Reviews and resolves scoring problems and checks missing data (holes)
• Scans various documents on a high speed optical scanner
• Sets up scanning runs and batches according to established procedures
• Correctly applies file transfer procedures for Exam Scoring System and performs quality control checks of generated records and reports
• Clears lists and/or rosters of scores for State and local examinations
• Performs final quality control check of data and list-clear date entered in various systems
• Assists in maintaining the Veteran Credit system
• Enters and updates data submitted by candidates applying for Veteran credits
• Records disposition of veteran credits
• Performs related duties and tasks as assigned

The staff of the Exam Scoring and Results Processing Unit (ESRPU) are responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing all documents and materials used to score tests. Unit staff scan answer sheets, manage electronic files and paper scoring of documents going to and from the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) and Test Development Sections; process score conversion documents, and distribute final score notices, score rosters, and eligible lists as appropriate.
