Duties Description The incumbent of this position will be responsible for assisting the Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) with the coordination, implementation, and operational support of the State Automated Biometric Identification System (SABIS) and the agency’s other information systems. This includes working with the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) to communicate DCJS’ initiatives and business needs. This position may also supervise technical staff. The duties will include but are not limited to: understanding DCJS’ current operational needs; assisting to escalate technical issue resolution; ensuring technological infrastructure stays current; facilitating operational initiatives to improve efficiencies and provide solutions to business problems/defects related to SABIS; serving as the agency’s point of contact with ITS; overseeing the documenting for the provisioning of the Integrated Justice Portal; managing internal processes for IT project requests related to SABIS and other data systems as necessary; preparing ad hoc reports with DCJS data to assist criminal justice agencies; serving as liaison to MorphoTrak and other vendors in regards to complying with the Electronic Biometric Transmission Standards (EBTS) 10.0, implementing maintenance contracts, and identifying and resolving defects and performance issues; and assisting with procurement planning and implementation.
