Minimum Qualifications Keyboarding proficiency is a minimum requirement of this position. If you have not previously held a keyboarding position, you must demonstrate that you possess the requisite keyboarding skills to be considered for transfer – type at the rate of at least 35 words per minute, with at least 95% accuracy.
To be eligible for transfer via 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, you must have one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title such as:

Duties Description As a Secretary 2 incumbents will organize and coordinate administrative activities. They will be responsible for establishing office procedures including designing filing systems; implementing policies and procedures, resolve operational day-to-day problems; handle incoming correspondence and drafting responses; researching background information; transmitting instructions to staff and following up; handle telephone calls and visitors; respond to questions; and coordinate and arrange meetings.
