Minimum Qualifications The minimum qualifications are as follows:
• Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be currently attending a New York State College, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State; attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York state
Preferred qualifications:
• Graduate student; minimum Senior
• Major in Information Technology or Engineering
• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year College or University (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students);
• Or currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPS) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.

Duties Description The incumbent will assist in development of media (audio, video, photo, text) related to Learning and Development initiatives. Incumbent will assist department staff with the maintenance of Learning Exchange web portal, and will be primarily responsible for routine website maintenance and content addition/modification. Incumbent will assist in development of eLearning course packages.
Incumbent may assist in administration of technology platforms related to Learning and Development, including but not limited to:
-- Statewide Learning Management System
-- Learning Exchange (intranet web portal)
Illustrative Duties:
-- Assists in drafting announcements for agency distribution, and will assist department staff in developing a communications plan
-- Assists in development of content for the Learning Exchange (LEx) website, including the duplication of Learning and Talent Management (LTM) announcements / communications, and posting information related to learning resources and opportunities
-- Assists in development of documentation and supporting resources for LTM courses, including management/supervisory courses, communications courses, Employee Recognition Program courses, and Change Management courses
-- Develops eLearning content and modules for integration into LEx website and Statewide Learning Management System (SLMS)
-- Supports LTM customer service efforts, including (but not limited to) monitoring ITTraining shared mailbox and LTM shared phone; incumbent will respond to customer service requests and inquiries under the general supervision of department staff
-- Assists in elicitation and documentation of business requirements and needs from ITS program areas and business units as they relate to training; incumbent will assist department staff in development of learning plans and curricula based on these needs
-- Assists in the general delivery of training and development of learning resources on an ongoing basis as needed/determined by department staff
Preferred skills:
-- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud strongly preferred (Muse, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Premier, Illustrator)
-- Strong writing and communication skills
-- Media development experience preferred
-- Willingness to learn new skills and subjects
-- Team-player attitude
