Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have permanent status as an Office Assistant 2, Grade 9, and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by having at least one year of permanent service in a qualifying title within two salary grades of the Grade 9 level. Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting a qualified, current State employee to fill an Office Assistant 2, Grade 9, vacancy in the Bureau of Facility Personnel Services, Central Recruitment Unit/Lists (List Unit).

The Central Recruitment Unit/Lists provides centralized list ordering, canvassing, and interview scheduling services for OMH facilities. The incumbent will work with the Department of Civil Service to appropriately order, process and maintain mandatory, decentralized and general eligible lists. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform liaison activities with the Department of Civil Service and Facility Personnel Offices to resolve list issues, ensure valid list appointments, and assure that all appropriate sign-offs (clearance numbers, list approvals, item assignments, etc.) are received to enable facilities to make timely appointments.
• Answer phone calls from eligible list candidates, opening mail, coding lists, developing lists of acceptors, and returning coded lists to Civil Service.
• Assist the Central Recruitment Unit/Exams with entering decentralized exam applications into a computerized data base and filing forms.
