Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a title SG-11 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Agency Program Aide provides support to OPCA’s unit managers and executive staff, as needed. Duties will include but are not limited to: assist with the Annual Probation Plan and Application; extract data from surveys, applications and forms from probation departments in regard to firearms and probation officer applicant screening information; assist in the review, evaluation and analysis of reports from a variety of sources; prepare state aid funding and salary charts and tables related to probation practice in New York State; assist with tracking new probation director appointments and ensure compliance with H-10 position requirements; support training activities including scheduling meetings and taking meeting minutes; initiate purchase orders; enter documents for internal review; prepare travel documents and attachment A and B; track OPCA expenditures; and serve as backup on the phone line. The incumbent will have frequent oral and written communication within OPCA, local probation departments, program representatives, and other State and federal agencies.

Additional Comments Appointment is subject to Division of Budget waiver approval.
