MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT: Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service as a Training Specialist 2 and eligible for transfer; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 21 or above and eligible for transfer under section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
This position will serve as a senior member of the LEAD (Learning, Education and Development) team responsible to:
• Plan, organize, develop and deliver various types of training considering the needs of all agency staff to include in person live presentations, webinars, video conferences, micro-learning videos, online training and recording using all appropriate software;
• Assist and coordinate with agency executive staff, managers and supervisors in development of training requests for all new and existing staff;
• Oversee the mandatory training program for the agency and coordinate with Governor’s Office of Employee Relations and management to maintain overall compliance;
• Administer the Statewide Learning Management System as the Primary Administrator;
• Develop accurate written reports, correspondence, and other materials (this may include proposals, research papers, RFPs, performance measure data reports, etc.) as necessary;
• Supervise and mentor paraprofessional, training specialists and support staff as assigned;
• Coordinate and oversee all DOL training facilities including all equipment and related materials;
• Other duties as assigned and appropriate to Training Specialist 2.
